After being widowed for three years, I chose to try a Christian dating website. One day, I found Janine's profile and asked if she would like to meet for coffee. We met, talked for a while, and then walked on the HB pier. This marked the beginning of our journey together.

Paul

After the loss of my husband, someone asked, ‘would you ever date again?’ Hmm.., it was not something I considered. God would have to drop someone in my lap. Eventually I did make an online profile and met Paul. He seemed sincere and had a strong faith. After several meetings and deep conversations, I began to think God might be bringing this good man into my life.

Janine

Through our coffee meetings, long walks, fun dates like the Christmas boat parade, (which we missed because we talked the whole time) we started to discover all the things we have in common. Our shared faith in the Lord and fellowship in community was the biggest draw. It turns out that we both love to travel. Fun fact- Paul recognized the green building I was standing in front of in one of my profile pictures, which made him take a closer look.

recently we participated on short term missions teams; Paul to Honduras, Janine to Ukraine

+++Love of the outdoors, pets and experiencing fun food.

In all of this, and through prayer, we began to realize that being together and starting our sunset years as a couple was something we both desired. We are so excited to see what the Lord will do in us and through us!

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night. Psalm 92:1-2
